The Long Post

I am going to give blogging another go.  As I wrote on my xanga, I’ll be updating here and on my book blog…(although I’ve yet to do that).  I’ve also not been able to do much blogging and reading of blogs this past year.  I would like to do more but well, we’ll see. 

 The last year bought a good change in my life. I got married and I find myself thinking about a number of people who I didn’t inform.  I guess blogging about it will get the word out!  Well maybe not, who actually reads these things anyways (facetious)?!?!

 Married life give one a new perspective on things.  Before I was happy and content to take my time to pursue a MDiv at SWBTS, but now I’m hoping to finish sooner than later.  My wife shared with me a wonderful verse as she was reading through Proverbs recently.

He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.
-Proverbs 18:22

Sharing the Gospel

I had written previously about going out and telling others what Jesus has done in my life, and did for the world.  Sharing the good news of salvation from sin and death via accepting Jesus as one’s Lord.  Last November I went out to share the gospel for a school sponsored event.  I hadn’t done it in quite awhile.  Its too easy to justify being busy.  It was an eye opening experience to talk with people from other religions.  I am learning that I need to do this more often, pray, and really study harder.  Well, I learned recently that Jesus knew that we would fear to witness.  And God provides many encouraging words of scripture to help us deal with our fear.
